Connect was built to give Sourcery Partners full ownership and control of their data ensuring it always remains confidential, safe and secure in the Personal Data Vault (PDV) of each users account.
Further, as members and owners of Sourcery—our Partners own the Connect Platform and through our strategic planning and governance can help inform decisions, products and polices that serve their commercial and business interests, safeguard their knowledge and relationships, and ensure that all Partners as both competitors in trade and collaborators in Sourcery can commit to the transformation of trade for good.
Data Standards and Certification
Connect includes industry leading data standards, compliance and security protocols to ensure that all transaction data, documents and information is encrypted both at rest and stored in the Personal Data Vault (PDV) and in transit when data and text is transmitted over the internet between two users devices.
1. Connect meets the requirements of GDPR, UK and USA privacy laws and provides special API to enable Partners to maintain compliance. 2. Connect is compliant with ISO 27001 standards and SOC 2’s five Trust Service Principles of security, availability, privacy, confidentiality, and processing integrity. Certification pending. 3. All Partners are issued a Bluenumber SSI (X000-X0000-X0000-X0000) that includes private and public keys that grant access to data stored on the Personal Data Vault (PDV). 4. All data in transit is encrypted using industry leading protocols. 5. All data saved and stored with AES-256 encryption are stored in you PDV. The PDV uses zero-knowledge cloud storage in the blockchain, ensuring your data is highly restricted and only accessible to the ‘data originator’ unless explicit written permission is given. Sourcery cannot access the data stored. 6. Place Protection allow Partner administrators using Transform Plus to have limited access to devices that are within a particular geographic area or ‘geofence. Feature is pending.

It is well known that many of these platforms want to know who you are, where you are, how you trade and with who you trade—they want to know what you buy and sell—and some don’t hide from the fact that they want your data to sell to others because that is their business.

Generally, E-mail is safe. Yet most email providers require an email and password to log-in and provide basic level of encryption.
There are many options for email such as Microsoft 365, Gmail/G Suite, Proton and many others. Each offer various levels of security and privacy features designed to protect your data.
However, the main challenge with all E-Mail is that your information is also only 50% safe because you don’t know if the recipient or sender protects their data in the same way you do and if they are comprised—you are compromised too.
In addition, email can hacked, susceptible to phishing scams and unwanted solicitations that are may put your privacy and data at risk.
There are no emails in the Connect Platform—all communication occurs only with known Partners who are also using the Connect App and each Partner is fully vetted by Sourcery prior to access. All data is across encrypted chat and all trade solutions both in transit and at rest.

WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging app, is used by more than two billion people including by many farmers, traders, agents and manufacturers to communicate and trade with each other? It is currently the defacto tool used by our trade for digital communicating and sending offers, enquiries and negotiation.
WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption to keep data safe while it is transferred from sender to recipient, yet the data is not safe at rest—which is where the problem exists.
Plus, knowing Meta (who also owns Instagram, Facebook and Threads) they along with Google invented the idea of selling your data for their profit—do you think they would pass the up the opportunity to control and sell the data of a $5 trillion agr-commodity trade?
Sourcery Connect is very secure. It is encrypted at rest and in transit and only you can access the data in your account.
Sourcery does not have access to your data and we will never sell it without your specific permission.

Google Maps is used all around the world for directions, avoiding traffic, finding a new restaurant, yet you can be assured that any product Google offers is not safe when it comes to your personal data—even Google itself is not afraid to tell you how they use your data—they know who you are, where you are, what you buy, sell and how you think.
When it comes to trade, your vendors and clients, farms and factories are your business—yet Google believes its their business too.
We use a proprietary static map in Connect Platform that only includes an geocode, address and topographical overlay. All information that you include Places is given its own Bluenumber giving the data about your farm, facility or office the very same blockchain protections that you have as an individual when it comes to data security, privacy and access.

Similar to Google Maps, Gmail/G Suite and other Alphabet (parent company) products under the Google name, Google drive is used by over 3 billion people around the world because its basic cloud solution is free—yet it is well known and publicized that the data on your Google Drive is not too secure and Google itself has access to the data.

Today video chat is used around the world to connect people together to discuss matters that email, text and even voice alone cannot do well—this includes building trading partners and discussion commercial matters.
Zoom has had many security challenges that it has worked hard to fix, yet it emails another tool that may not be as safe as you you think.
Sourcery has its Messages/Chat feature that similar that can include messages, video and voice calls that are 100% encrypted using in-transit encryption and encryption at rest.

Policies to Protect Our Partners
All Partners who use the Connect Platform are required to review and agree to the below internal policies that demonstrate and communicate just how serious Sourcery is about data security, privacy, ownership and control—along with our membership agreement these policies ensure that all Partners can have the peace of mind, confidence and trust in Sourcery when it comes to protecting their own and each others data and business.
Place Protection
The Connect Platform ‘Places’ enables are Partners to register their land parcels, crop areas and facilities and verify each ‘Place’ ensuring that all personal, transactional and impact data is fully private and securely stored in each Partners Personal Data Vault (PDV).
When we designed Connect, we built our own digital map system rather than use a third-party API, such as Google Maps. This ensures that all of the data in the geocode layer, the address layer and the polygon layer is private and secure. Further, select Partners can also turn on ‘Place Protection’ that prevents anyone who is using their device outside of the polygon layer boundaries to access Connect data.

The worlds most wealthy technology companies, financial institutions, corporates know how valuable your data is to them—yet much of our industry continues to give this data away for free allowing others to profit.
Using Connect, you own and control your data and can choose to unlock its full potential and value to grow your business (not theirs).
Data Sovereignty and Equity
As the digital nexus for the Sourcery Solution, the Connect Platform captures all transactional and impact data in line with the Transparent Trade and Impact and Assurance modules—the Bluechip Exchange (BCX) data marketplace gives Partners the ability to be recognised and rewarded for their commitment to commercial, social and environmental excellence by licensing their data to those that benefit from brands to government, investors, financial institutions, insurance companies, technology solutions, management consultants and more.
Once captured and verified, all data is ecrypted and stored in Partners personal blockchain partition called a Personal Data Vault (PDV)—accessible and viewable to no one else accept the data owner (‘data originator’) via their registered Connect Platform account.
The data contained in the PDV can only be decrypted and unlocked with digital keys using a zero-knowledge infrastructure following the license sale of a corresponding Bluechip NFT via the forthcoming Sourcery Bluechip Exchange (BCX) data marketplace. Once sold, Partners can receive BluePoint digital currency in their Connect Platform wallets which can be withdrawn into any bank account, UPI or transferred to other Partners.

Long before we built any products, we engineered and built a reliable backend system architecture that included a set of easy to build templates that enable our an ‘API first’ approach to data collection, storage, sharing and integration ensuring our Partners have the flexibility they need while also ensuring that Sourcery’s privacy, security and data sovereignty solutions and policies protect their businesses.

All third-party software solution providers must adhere to Sourcery’s Data Sovereignty Policy, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and integration policy that includes a sales embargo on any physical data remitted via the Connect by our Partners and integrated to third-parties. All data must be transacted or transferred via the Bluechip Exchange.
